Sarah J. Watson is a solo practitioner based in Knoxville, Tennessee.  She is passionate about using a practical, down-to-earth problem solving approach to address her clients’ dilemmas.

She works with her clients to generate options designed to preserve their accumulated wealth, build a secure financial future, and to provide for and protect their children. 

Sarah is admitted to practice before all Tennessee state courts.  She is a member of the Knoxville Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, and American Bar Association.  Additionally, she is a Barrister in the Hamilton Burnett American Inn of Court and was elected as Member-at-Large to the 2016 Knoxville Bar Association Barristers Executive Committee. 

In 2005 Sarah graduated magna cum larde from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.  While attending Auburn she majored in International Business with a concentration in Finance.  She also obtained a minor in Business Engineering Technology after defending a thesis regarding the development and marketability of solar-powered technology to the marine industry before faculty at the University of Plymouth’s School of Engineering in Plymouth, England. 

Sarah then spent six and half years working in Finance and Accounting at Bridgestone Americas Holding, Inc.  During this time she helped in the start-up of a tire manufacturing facility in Monterrey, Mexico; worked as the Manager of Finance and Analysis on a rubber farm in Liberia, West Africa; and served as the acting Controller of fifteen corporate quality assurance and sales engineering departments. 

In 2014 she graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law with a Concentration in Advocacy and Dispute Resolution.  While attending law school she was a two-year member of the AAJ Mock Trial Team, a member of the Moot Court Executive Board, volunteered with UT Pro Bono projects, and was a student attorney in the Homer A. Jones, Jr. Wills Clinic.  During this time she also worked as an intern with the Anderson County District Attorney’s Office in Clinton, Tennessee; the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee; and the Federal Defender Services of Eastern Tennessee, Inc. in Knoxville, Tennessee.  She was also nominated by faculty to the Order of the Barristers.

Before starting her solo practice she worked at the firm Sobieski, Messer & Associates, PLLC where she practiced domestic relations.

In her spare time Sarah enjoys traveling (she’s been to five of the seven continents!), studying foreign languages, and cooking.  She also volunteers her time teaching English as a Second Language.
